Bihar elections in six phases

The Election Commission Monday announced a month-long six-phased election for the 243-member assembly in Bihar.

The poll days are:

- Oct 21 - 47 seats

- Oct 24 - 45 seats

- Oct 28 - 48 seats

- Nov 1 - 42 seats

- Nov 9 - 35 seats

- Nov 20 - 26 seats

- Counting - Nov 24

- Scheduled Castes seats - 38

- Scheduled Tribes seats - 2

- Voters - 55 million

- Polling stations - 56,943 polling stations.
