Asia's tourism sector is expected to slowly spring back to life after 2010.

Industry experts have said tourism is in a slump at the moment with most major Asian markets reporting sharp falls in visitor arrivals.

The Pacific Asia Travel Association has said economic factors, swine flu and rising unemployment in home countries will keep people away this year.

Many Asia tourism markets have continued to see dramatic falls in traveller numbers.

Singapore has reported arrivals down more than 30 percent from a year ago.

In South Korea, arrivals have declined as much as 40 percent, while in Japan, foreign visitor arrivals have fallen by more than 30 percent.
