Italian government banishes illegal immigrants
Bombay News.Net Friday 16th May, 2008
Italian police have arrested hundreds of suspected illegal immigrants.
In a government clampdown, police arrested 383 people after a week-long operation stretching from northern Italy to Naples.
Those arrested came from Eastern Europe, Albania, Greece, North Africa and China, and face charges ranging from illegal entry into Italy to prostitution, drug trafficking and robbery.
Over fifty people were immediately taken to the border for expulsion.
It is believed the order to arrest was taken from Silvio Berlusconi, who was swept back into power for a third term as Prime Minister last week, after promising to get tough on illegal immigrants, who have been blamed for a crimewave.
He is readying new laws to screen immigrants and jail or expel those breaking the law.

Italian government banishes illegal immigrants
The “Have” do not consider the “HAVE NOT”, it has been generations and generations that the wealthy of the North depict the poor of the South.
This time the wealthy of the North who took control of the ship, shifted their bullish weight against the defenseless immigrants, but with a brilliant psychological move, they turned the local poor against the immigrants, so that the instigators came out smelling like a rose.
All this has been to distract the attention to the real problems that face the South, such as the garbage crises, the high un-employment rate, the inefficiency of the government agencies, so we can say that they have found a scapegoat to blame their internal problems that they are facing, and there is no simple prey than the poor immigrants which are an easy target.

Government is the people
Blaming everyone else, blaming the faceless government does nothing but disempower the individual.. make their position hopeless like they cannot do anything about it.. When infact we can do something about it.. Italians, like us all can succeed when we take charge of our own lives.. The problems of the south exist because a culture that turns a blind eye to corruption and violence.. The problem lies with people that makeup the government who are part of our community.. If the people of the south wish to get rid of the garbage problem, they need to cleanup their act and stand proud..
